Murphy wants to know...

when do we go see the Cousins?

How does he know? I may have mentioned it in front of him, but it's not like I told him, really, but...he knows. Road Trip!!! He has opted to start being really annoying now, as if this will speed up time. Mommy has to endure another half day at work before his sighs, foot-stamping and pestering noises will cease. He has been promised a road trip, and he wants to go NOW.

And, in the realm of instant gratification, C and I are sort of doing Thanksgiving gifts this year. She'll be in MD for Christmas, so she ordered gifts early. Mine was here when I got home from work today:

Teas! All sorts of teas, greens and blacks and fruity and Earl Grey, and the box smelled so good when I opened it...ahhh. I see a post-Thanksgiving weekend of movies, knitting and tea ahead. My liver will need a break after two days of partying with the Cuzzins.

Photos of her gifts will follow. Too superstitious to post them before she sees them.

Oooo Presents! Happy Thanksgiving gal - I am so glad you'll be spending it with cousins. sounds perfectly heavenly to me.

And a weekend of soft restorative knitting - sweet. I am planning on exactly the same. A finished surprise sweater by Monday.

Mmmm... a nice cup a tea, movies and knitting or in my case crochet. Sounds like the perfect weekend to me. I have a swester on the hook now maybe I can make som serious headway if I stick to your plan. Have a GREAT time with the cousins! Oh and my dog? Totally knows the roadtrip vibe too!

Dogs are telepathic. I have no doubt in my mind. We dont even have to say the word "walk", just think it, and the girl is nosing her leash and dancing. My big guy, who we just lost to cancer, received signals from outer space, I swear.

Have a great Thanksgiving- it sounds like it will be a much needed respite for you.
