You Are Sunrise

You enjoy living a slow, fulfilling life. You enjoy living every moment, no matter how ordinary.

You are a person of reflection and meditation. You start and end every day by looking inward.

Caring and giving, you enjoy making people happy. You're often cooking for friends or buying them gifts.

All in all, you know how to love life for what it is - not for how it should be.

Filched from Martha. I am Sunrise because I have to be. Actually, I am leaving the driveway as the sun peeks over the horizon. I'd be happy to miss it.

Twee is up. Skirt is an homage to Linus. It's a red sheet, formerly employed to cover plants during freezes. I like twee. It suits me.

And the skaters are up. I am not sure how old these little skaters are; my mother thought they were old, so I'm betting close to 100. They are very beat up, but they are back on duty on a silver tray. Yes, I know there are no reins for the horse. He's a very special horse; he pulls the sleigh with his goodness. Or, I could find some black embroidery thread and hook him up properly. For now, Imagine. Also imagine I own a tripod and set this up in less than 5 minutes. It's a season for fantasy.

Damn, I bet you enjoy ordinary moments!
(I'm sorry. I'm sure there's some special place in Hell for me for laughing over that.)(Snort.)

An ordinary moment usually involves cat puke. I had a very ordinary moment around 4 a.m. when a cat knocked a stack of catalogs that I planned to look through and then throw into the recycling bin off the coffee table. In my half asleep state, I was sure that one of them had found the ambition to knock over the tree - nearly got up to check, then thought better of it and tried to go back to sleep before the alarm went off at 5. Almost made it. Found the catalogs later and was very glad I didn't get up to look.

I might enjoy an ordinary moment, like one of those old International Coffee commercials, and hope to someday soon.

Love those little skaters, sleigh and horse even without the tack. And the Twee is adorable. We are putting up a somewhat taller tree tomorrow.

Be sure to watch that great Christmas movie, "Lethal Weapon". I usually start the "season" off with that.
