First, let's see what various prognosticators prognosticate for moi. My horoscope for January: Astrology Zone. I'll give that one a big, loud "Hell Yeah!" I don't see it really happening, given the state of things I'm seeing, but I'd be really happy to be wrong.
Next, we will visit the numerological year: Personal Year. 2009 will be a 9 for me. Please feel free to check my math; I picked my college major based on its light math requirement, and my skills have not improved with time.
My birthday is 6/28. 6+2+8=16. Add the 1+6, you get 7.
2009 = 2+9=11, which we then reduce to 2. 7+2=9. So. I'm in a 9 year.
Personal Year 9. . . . Reflection and Reaching Out
This is a 9 personal year for you. This is a year of completions, ending, and a time when you are apt to take inventory of the many factors in your life, some of which you are no doubt proud of, and others that you may want to change. You are likely to scrutinize old values, ideals, and the ideas that you thought were important. This should be a time when you become more involved with other's and giving may become more important that merely looking out for yourself. You may also become aware of a lure to commune with nature, as escapist desires become much stronger than in the past. A lot of things that you have been working for should come to completion during this year, and you will tend to clear the deck for the beginning of a new nine year cycle.
I suck at punctuation now, but that random, misplaced apostrophe is like fingernails on a blackboard for me. But that's a block quote from the site. I'm okay with the rest of it. Clearing the deck. Things coming to completion. Let's combine this with the January horoscope wherein money will just fall into my lap, and I'm hoping for either a winning lottery ticket or my mother's house selling fast.
So that's what the stars and the numbers say. Then, we have the selection of a keyword/theme for the year. I toyed with "Change," but I think that belonged to 2008. Then I looked at what I am doing these days - emptying the house, going to the gym faithfully, feeling better, sleeping better, making a conscious effort to lighten my load and have fun, and my theme word smacked me in the head. 2009 will be the year of seeking the light in everything. Lightening up (the house, my body, my spirit). Taking things lightly. Being quiet and listening for enlightenment, while lightening my personal load in every way. So my keyword for 2009 is Light. Things have been dark and heavy for way too long.
