It's raining, it's pouring,

the little dog is snoring. It's been almost a week (another distracted, busy week) since last post. We are finally getting real rain, steady rain, days of rain - which is awesome, because Florida has been in a Damn Scary Bad Drought for a very long time. I said I wouldn't bitch until we had a foot of rain - okay, we've had it, you can slow down now. I'm fine with a week of rain, which is good, because that's what we are getting. A solid week of noisy, heavy, traffic-snarling, flooded streets rain is a bit over the top. And it takes a whole lot of rain to flood sandy soil - we're at around a foot of rain and still counting. But I'm not complaining. I'm far more scared of the scary drought than I am of the heavy, heavy rain.

Last couple years have been real dry too. The Lake looked awful 10feet down. But we've had a lot of that rain here too, so things are looking good & green. I love listening to the rain.

We are out of rain, and close to out of water.

I am really glad to hear that you are getting enough because we don't need another state going up in smoke. Hang in there an knit your way through it, dear. I mean when you aren't working your way to the poor house. That really sucks.
