Almost a week, huh? What can I say, except:
Lots of rain.
Girl's back issues - no progress. No call from next assigned work comp insurance doctor.
Much dark humor about how great it is that we don't have a single payer system HERE, because under those systems people wait forever to see doctors - not like HERE. (They know it's true, because a forwarded email told them so.)
She's only been walking around with 2 herniated disks and other issues for over three months, without being seen by a doctor who deals with such things. Every day, we pause to give thanks for our excellent American health care system. There's a lot of disgusted profanity involved.
Boy had some possibly good job news, but it's premature to speak of it, lest we anger the gods. So we shall not speak of it. Pretend you didn't read that.
Layoffs - no, not me. Looks like I'm on this ride for another few laps of the merry-go-round.
Muttering about "rearranging the deck chairs...."
Herbs gone wild. They love the rain. The cats are stoned 24/7, and I'm considering peanut butter and pesto sandwiches. And this is the first year I've actually kept tomato plants alive for more than 30 days. There may even be tomatoes eventually!
Mosquitoes likewise gone wild. They are biting in broad daylight. And they are the size of sparrows. And no matter what you apply to the bites, it wears off around 3 a.m.
And...that's about all the news that's fit to blog. I shall try to be more interesting this week.
