March 1st

I'm declaring March my month of personal renewal.  I've restocked the fridge with fresh produce, and today I'm prepping a few items for quick evening meals.  They will be largely sandwich and salad based, because the week days are long, but there will be no frozen pizzas involved.  I'm making soy curl barbeque in the little crockpot, marinating and baking some tofu, and assembling a real salad in a bowl (vs. my recent habit of ripping open a bag and throwing a few random toppings on before leaving for work). And of course I'm doing the 100,000 Steps Challenge, because exercise is one of the things that I've neglected lately, and 100,000 steps over the course of a month is really not that tough a goal. I have little trouble hitting 10k on the weekends, and this will just keep me aware on weekedays. Just wearing a pedometer is a reminder to move.  I will wear it every day this month.

Eat right, move more. Make time for knitting and a few minutes for meditation.  That's the plan for March.

"Not properly dressed without the pedometer" is a very good idea. Steps taken at work count, too!

I hear you--I hope that this weekend has "reset" me. It's hard for me to be good at work, and last week was really a mess. And no, I rarely turn down food, but I do try to make up for it later, but it was pretty much a losing battle last week. I resolve this week will be better. I've set a goal of 7500 steps a day, I know I can get that many in.

Hope Murphy is holding in. Give him a squeeze for me.
